I nformation Service Industry Association, Taiwan, known as CISA, is Taiwan’s sole representative body for the information service industries. Founded in 1983, CISA is one of the most respected technology-focused associations in Taiwan. Its 750 corporate members comprise domestic as well as international companies, and R&D institutes engaged in software development and distribution, and information and network services. With a full-fledged Secretariat, CISA maintains a full-time staff of approximately 60 people, providing member services, promoting information technology, and working with the government.
CISA is a founding member of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), and is a member on the Steering Committee of the World Information Technology and Service Alliance (WITSA). Both organizations represent the Asia Oceania and the global information industries. |

Maintain Close Relationship with the Government: Lobby the government to design and implement favorable policies to facilitate continuous industry growth in the following areas: expand channels for capital, supply high quality talent, help develop key technology, promote software exports, open up government outsourcing markets, strengthen intellectual property protection law enforcement. |

Create Business Opportunities for Members: Appeal to the government to increase IT spending to a level consistent with major countries. Conduct business matching activities between member companies and potential customers of other industries. Develop China market opportunities and build cooperation channels with Chinese software industries. |

Facilitate Information Exchange among Members: Organize seminars to introduce new knowledge, share experiences on managing software business, provide recruitment channels, and arrange social activities. |

Engage Government Contracts: Participate in the government sponsored e-business promotional projects in the commercial and small and medium enterprise sectors. |
